DEAR CAMPERS:

Well the weather was less than perfect last summer but the summer seemed to be over very quickly anyway. I hope the winter goes as quickly. It sounds like they could be wrong about the forecast for the winter just like they were about the summer.

The beavers are back so the township and the Otter Lake Association are joining together to see if they can trap them before more damage is done.

We have discovered that some of our trees have been cut down for firewood. NO ONE IS TO CUT OUR TREES WITHOUT PERMISSION. We have to get permission from the township for any trees that are removed.

The road construction has ended for the year. The shoulders etc are all completed by the campground but the paving will be completed next year. We will have turn lanes both ways off of the highway when it is completed, which will be wonderful.

If you haven't paid your deposit for 2001 your gate card is not activated. We would appreciate any outstanding deposits as soon as possible. I am including a registration form, would you please fill it out, sign and date it, and return it to us.

For any of you that are not aware the Canada Trail is right across the highway from us. It is called the Cataraqui Trail and it is the old railroad track. It is nice for walking, bike riding etc.

I hope you are all ready for the holidays. So from all the Peppers, big and little, young and old, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

SEE YOU ALL SOON
