MOONLIGHT BAY MAY 2000 NEWSLETTER

Welcome to all our old and new campers. It is great to see everyone. The weather has been cooler and wetter than 99 but the grass is growing in leaps and bounds just like a great many of our young people.

The docks have been assigned so please check in the Rec Hall. There are Calendars of Events available at the Rec Hall for anyone who hasn't received one yet. We also need in the Rec Hall a completed Contract. If you have lost your copy please see us for a new one.

The first Bingo and Pool Tournament were held on the long weekend. The pool tournament winners were: Youth 1rst place: Josh Charlebois 2nd place: Darren Vanderydt 3rd place: Amanda O'Connor Adult 1rst place: Doug Holmes 2nd place: Scott Pepper 3rd place: Tony.

I want to thank all our campers who regularly help by contributing their efforts to help run events such as Bingo, 50/50, draws, tournaments etc. Their help is gratefully appreciated. If you are interested in helping please mention it to the ladies in the Rec Hall. I also want to thank our campers who are regularly on the look out for things that will help our events, etc. and those that contribute items for raffles etc.

We now have in our possession a pool heater/air conditioning unit that we are hoping to install in early June, This was financed in part by the money raised in the 50/50.

The campground meeting will be held on June 4, 2000 at 1:00 pm in the Rec Hall. This is a good opportunity to meet the campers and staff. It is also a good time to talk about plans, concerns etc. Hope we see you all there.

The Shriner's have returned the tri coloured barrels for soft drink cans. These are located by the playground and the Rec Hall. Please only put cans in them. Please always pick up any garbage and put it in garbage containers or ours in Rec Hall.

A few concerns that have been brought forward are: Please WATCH SPEED IN THE CAMPGROUND - IT IS 10K/HOUR. Also when boating please reduce your speed before you get to the docks to avoid any possible accidental encounters with swimmers. Please remember that pets are to be keep on a leash and that you are to do clean up duty. The other night the main circuit breaker was tripped in one area. We realize it was cold but we also know that in all our years here - this has never happened before. Please do not use an electric heater unless you are paying for it.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Graham on lot 321 who tied the knot on Saturday afternoon.

HAPPY CAMPING WE HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT SEASON.
