Moonlight Bay Campground May 2002 Newsletter

Welcome to another season of camping. As you have no doubt already noticed, there has been a change in the ownership of Moonlight Bay Campground this year. Moonlight Bay is now owned and operated by Gary and Gail Wylie as well as their daughter Sara. As the new owners, we look forward to meeting all of you and hope that if we have not already met personally we will soon. We hope that everyone will continue to enjoy their summers at Moonlight Bay. We look forward to getting to know everyone better throughout the course of the summer, Have a safe and happy summer.

A reminder to all campers that the seasonal contracts are now due and must be completed and returned to us along with your full payment. We appreciate your efforts to complete this task in a timely manner, Completion of the contracts will enable us to familiarize ourselves with everyone in the campground.

As in past years, garbage continues to go to the dump in Portland. Garbage must be disposed of in clear plastic garbage bags. If anyone is uncertain as to the location of the dump, feel free to ask any one of us and we can provide you with directions. The dump is open on Weds. and Sat. from 8:00a.m. until 4:00p.m. as well as on Sun. from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.

As it stands this year, the campground will be operated by only three individuals; Gary, Gail and Sara Wylie. Unfortunately, Ben Russel and Ryan Niblock will not be returning as maintenance and grounds staff this season and their help will sorely be missed. Certainly, all of the Peppers will be missed as well.

The pay phone located at the back of the recreation hall has now been updated to accept calling cards.

For the rest of May the Recreation Hall will be closed from Monday through to Thursday. The hours of operation will be as listed;

  Friday          3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

  Saturday          9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

  Sunday          9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Recreation Hall hours for the long weekend are as follows;

  Friday          1:00p.m. to 10:00p.m.

  Saturday          9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p,m.

  Sunday          9:00a.m. to 10:00p.m.

  Monday          9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
