1.   The organizing committee for this years Bassmaster has to be commended for their outstanding effort and support.  As a result, we had 45 entries into this years tournament, an almost 50 per cent increase from the previous year.  The committee was comprised of Ed O'Neill co-organizer; Tony (Meals on water) with over 40 entrants pulling along side of Tony's Never Dun for his superb chili; John McCrea assisting Tony serving Chili; Gerry Fleming for assisting with weigh-in, picture taking, verification of entrants, monies, & prizes; and Dale Tellier co-organizer.

2.  The weather and fish co-operated this year which made for an exciting tournament and finish.  Hats go off to those who assisted others when it came to fishing, as a new nickname has surfaced within MLB called the non-starters.  I guess maybe someone did not want the eventual winner and boatman to go fishing that day seeing they were unable to get their boat started.  If it wasn't for Norm Brewster who himself had battery problems, inviting both Ed O'Neill and Claude Rideout to come aboard and enjoy the day of fishing with Curtis Leroux and himself, the tournament results might of been different.  Who knows for sure, but I believe this is the true spirit of fishing at its best.

3.  Lets move onto the winner's circle for the tournament.  Below are the results:

1. 1st place, largest Bass (Small Mouth) 4.7lb was Claude Rideout.  Prizes included trophy, and cash;
   
   
2. 2nd place, next largest Bass (Small Mouth) 4.5lb was Doug Holmes.  Prizes included large tackle box donated by Bennett's Baits & Tackle, gift certificate from Wholesale Auto Parts Warehouses, and complimentary breakfast gift certificates from the New Skylark Restuarant on highway 15;
   
   
3. 3rd place, Bass (Small Mouth) 4.1lb was Claude Rideout;
   
   
4. 4th place, Bass (Small Mouth) 4lb was Paul Frenken;
   
   
5. 5th place, Bass (Small Mouth) 3.15lb tie was Shiela Nordskog;
   
   
6. 5th place, Bass (Small Mouth) 3.15lb tie was Doug Holmes;
   
   
7. 6th place, Bass (Small Mouth) 3.14lb was Ed O'Neill;
   
   
8. 7th place, Bass (Small Mouth) 3.6lb was Devon Nordskog;
   
   
9. 8th place, Bass (Small Mouth) 3lb was Doug Holmes; and
   
   
10. remaining fish not placed Ruth Anderson 2.15lb, Mike O'Grady 2.7lb, Devon Nordskog 2.15lb; Doug Holmes 2.11lb, Devon Nordskog 2.11lb, and special consideration goes to Charlotte Leaver with her 1.5lb Small Mouth Bass.
