Welcome back to another season of camping, making memories and hopefully a little relaxation.

We had a lot of snow over the winter and very little damages reported so far.

  • Sara & Trevor had a baby boy on December 3rd, weighing in at 7lb 2oz named PARKER.  Congratulations;

  • Campground meeting will be held on Sat. May 24th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in the Rec Hall.  Volunteers welcome & needed;

  • Site & dock fees are due;

  • Visitor Sign-In outside the store;

  • Speed Limit – 10 km, tell your guests;

  • Pets – make sure they are on leashes; clean up after them & please deal with your barking dog…we don’t know what’s worse….your yelling or the dog barking.  Be courteous of your neighbours;

  • Use Roads & Walkways – do not cut across other people’s lawns;

  • Quiet Times - Weekdays by 11:00pm; Saturdays and long weekend Sundays 12:00am; Mornings not before 9:00am; and

  • Youths under 18 years of age must be on their own lots by 11:00pm.

  Thanks to the many volunteers who contributed to last summer’s success.

Activities that ran extremely well last year were:
  • Garage Sale – at least 10 different tables were set up inside and out;
  • School’s Out Teen Dance – the kids had a chance to catch up with all their friends and make some new ones;
  • Beach Day – the rain wasn’t going to stop us, Morgan caught the biggest frog;
  • Christmas in July – Santa arrived in style, there was crafts and face painting and presents for all;
  • Games Day – it took the teens awhile to join in but once they did, everyone had fun;
  • Halloween – the costumes were awesome, it was hard to pick the best ones;
  • Dances couldn’t have been done without our fabulous DJ Mario; and
  • Idol Talent Contest shows how special our kids are…what a performance!

Other activities which occurred last season were:
  • Potluck supper;
  • Canada Day fireworks;
  • Fishing derby;
  • Golf tournament;
  • Pancake breakfast;Ø Pool tournament;
  • Casino night;
  • Dream catcher & ceramic craft;
  • Junkyard wars;
  • Turkey roast;
  • Ball hockey;
  • Bassmaster fishing derby;
  • Bingos every Saturday night;
  • Corn Roast & Movie Night; and
  • Keeping the Pool & Washrooms clean.

Huge thanks to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and helped:  Joanne, Carolyn & Dave, Tony, Denis, Dale, Rodney & Anne, Cathie, Mario, Bill, Mike, Gerry, Angie, Wally, Doug, all the Waddingtons, Ed, Dawn, Connie, Ken, & Oscar to name a few.

To everyone I didn't mention…your help was very much appreciated.
