Volunteers Needed –
(continued)

Participation and volunteers are what make these events successful. We need parents to organize arts & crafts, games, sports, special events, outdoor activities, and more.

~ PLEASE TAKE TIME TO CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR CAMPGROUND

Donated Prizes – we are always looking for give-aways for our participants & volunteers.  We believe prizes add to the

success and interest in our events. No gift is too big or too small. If you need a letter to solicit businesses, see Dawn (lot#319).
My Favorite Place to be…. (A class assignment that was shown during Parent-Teacher interviews)

The one place I can think for myself and not get in trouble would be at the camp site. My mom has been going to this campground since she was a teenager and wanted to experience it with her family.
We stay in a trailer, in Smith Falls about an 1hr and 30min drive away from Ottawa. We’ve been going there since, …wow forever. It’s not just my family up there. My moms’ sister and her kids, my grandpa and grandma, my uncle and his kids, and the weirdest part is we all live in a circle around each other. It’s very peaceful and good for nature people. Its great to go swimming, there’s a pool and a huge lake. The people who own the campground even placed a huge trampoline in the water

We own a canoe, so we take turns and we paddle to the island and swim, fish and tan for hours. My mother organizes games & activities, like beach day, Olympic day, some days we have fireworks and dances. We also have tournaments for everything, pool, horseshoes, ping pong, guitar hero, sing star, fishing derbies, Ohhh and I almost forgot the main event would be Moonlight Bay Idol where you have a whole bunch of talented people try out and compete to win a trophy and I’m always stuck singing or dancing cause my mom makes me do something, I never win but it’s always fun. My favorite is beach day because there is a dunk tank and everyone ends up having a huge water fight after and then all the kids chase after my mother. This is my favorite place in the whole world but it sucks that it closes for the winter.

My Favorite Place to be (continued)

Saturday is Bingo night at the campsite, my most memorable time happened last summer, it was me, my sister and my step-sister and there was no room at any of the tables so we joined two old guys who looked very nice. We laughed and talked and I asked one guy if I could switch cards with him and he did.

I then won $10 and we thought it was funny because I won off his card and then it even got better.

I won the jackpot round on his card again and ended up running back to my trailer, telling my mom I won $175 and she thought I was joking but I pulled out all the money and her mouth dropped. It was the best moment of my life and it happened with amazing funny old guys. This is the best place in my life!!!
